Sunday mornings can get quite warm, and there’s nothing more painful than looking out over a crowd of sweating Christians nodding off to the lulling of my voice. But Sundays have never been brighter since my wife and I ordered the Super Angel Juicer 5500 Stainless Steel Living Juice Extractor Machine. Hallelujah, does it work! My wife gets to her juicing at about 7am on the morning of the sermon, and by 8:30am we’ve got a whole roomful of thirst-quenched believers.  We have owned a Super Angel Juicer for over 7 years and it works just as good as the first day we purchased it.

Green Star JuicerRunning a vegan raw-foods catering company has never been any easy task. Between the gigs that fall through and the unsatisfied customers, we never really expect anything positive. That’s why I was thrilled to bring the Green Star Juicer to work and make our family just a little bigger and a little brighter. There’s nothing that this juicer can’t obliterate into healthy juices and dried out pulp.

The Green Star Juicer is the Cadillac of juicers. It utilizes exclusive Heavy Duty twin gear technology – you can tell when it just rips through that wet parsley. Most important to note about the Green Star juicer is that you will lose no nutrients in the juicing process. The majority of juicers run at such high speeds (10,000-rpm or more) that the enzymes in the leafy vegetables are destroyed. What’s the point of juicing if it isn’t healthy? The Green Star juicer runs at such a low speed, but with such strength, that you efficiently juice at low-temperatures (heat is another threat to enzymes, and, again, most juicers juice at high-heat).

Jack Lalanne Juicer Review – PJP Power Juicer Pro Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer

Jack Lalanne JuicerI’m normally not a sucker for scams, but this time I fell for it. I don’t know if I was just really thirsty or if Jack LaLanne’s muscles reminded me of my college days. REGARDLESS, I ordered the Jack LaLanne juicer, and I have never been more disappointed with a product in my life. While juicing might be an art (my husband certainly would say it is), designing a juicer is not. So I’m not sure which herb the designers of the Jack LaLanne juicer were smoking, but this is one terrible juicer. Let me go over some of the problems.

When you place your fruits or vegetables into the feed tube of a high-quality juicer, the feed tube leads out to the far end of the blades. Why? Because it’s here that you’re getting the most force of the blades and thus the best shredding. Rather than follow this common knowledge, the designers of the Jack LaLanne juicer constructed the feed tube such that it dumps your food directly in the middle of the spinning blades, on the point around which the blades spin! I was almost tempted to reach inside to knock around some of the apples that were building up in the middle, but caught myself before risking losing a finger.

Omega Juicer Reviews – Omega J8005 Nutrition Center Juicer

Omega JuicerThe Omega Juicer Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer saved my life. I was diagnosed with ultra-high blood-pressure and given only two years to live. After talking with my wife and some of her more health-conscious friends, I was convinced that I needed to turn my life around. Everyone was saying the same thing: juice, juice, juice! And thanks to the Omega Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer, that’s exactly what I did.

But before purchasing the Omega juicer, I did my share of research. What I learned is this: there are two kinds of juicers: masticating and centrifugal. Centrifugal juicers, such as ACME’s, extract juice by spinning the food around the inner-chamber at such high speeds that the “g-force” squeezes all of the juice out of the body of the fruit or vegetable. While this is highly efficient for some people’s needs, it wasn’t for mine. I was more focused on leafy vegetables and greens, not fruits which are high in sugar. If you use centrifugal juicers for your leafy greens (spinach, parsley, kale, etc.) you will lose a lot of the enzymes inside due to the high-speed of the juicing process. So when you hear that certain juicers are the best because they run at speeds of over 10,000-rpms (revolutions per minute), this is plain wrong. In fact, for me, the lower speeds are the best. And the Omega juicer runs at a stunning 80-rpm. You’re not going to lose any of those healthy enzymes with this juicer.

Most serious juicers know that to get a high-quality, long-lasting, no-nonsense juicer you need to pay at least $200. That’s why I was shocked when I found the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro Juicer. I’d heard of Hamilton Beach, but had no idea that they made top of the line juicers. My wife and I are big juicers – we start and end our days with a large glass. Once you try juicing, you’ll be hooked. Juicing is highly efficient because it brings you all the nutrients from the fruits and vegetables without the bulk of the body. It is so concentrated that you have to be careful at times even – it can give you a real rush of endorphins, and it’s that high that juicers thrive off of. There’s no better way to start your day than with a juice (a REAL juice, not some Sunny-D joke) from a Hamilton Beach Juicer.

Breville Juicer Review – Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite

Breville JuicerAs a runner and cancer-survivor, it’s important to me to stay healthy – and eating healthy is the first way to do this. A few years back, after my treatment, I picked up a $100 juicer from a local store (Target, Pier1, or something similar). While I loved the juice I could make with it, I was aware that the juicer was quite inefficient. When I checked the apples leftover there was tons of juice that hadn’t been squeezed out, and a lot of particulate was ending up in my final drink. I decided that I was going to invest in a high-end juicer, and when a good friend suggested the Breville Fountain Elite Juicer, I jumped on it.

I’ve never been happier with a juicer than I am with my Breville Fountain Elite. Every morning I juice an apple, some spinach, a SMALL amount of celery (be careful – celery is very salty when juiced) and occasionally some yogurt if I want a little more sugar and dairy. I’m always scraping the glass for every last drop – it tastes so amazing.
